Chief Legal Officer

David's Journey

As Eiwebs International Limited’s Chief Legal Officer, David Bryson has seen more than a decade of change, growth, acquisitions, equity and debt financings. His journey to Eiwebs began at BankBoston where he amassed over 20 years in the legal department, helping to make the bank a better partner with its employees, customers, communities and stakeholders. The great experience David gained there — handling acquisitions, managing risk, leading teams, finding a way to resolve complex legal challenges by providing the right advice at the right time — proved beneficial after joining Eiwebs.

David is inspired by the challenge of doing things right in an entrepreneurial, growing company.

Today, David is involved in every legal aspect of Eiwebs’s growing portfolio of brands, including strategic, corporate, development, operational and policy matters. What gets him really excited about his role at Eiwebs is working with his team to help make the web a better place for the customers and employees of Eiwebs. His team navigates the promise and potential of the web in order to help businesses achieve their goals while also protecting against the downside.

Outside of work, David enjoys photography, reading a good book on the beach, playing a round of golf with his three sons and spending time, and a good meal, with his wife and family.

Tivanka Ellawala

Chief Financial Officer

Tiv's Journey

Tiv Ellawala’s experience and expertise in a range of financial functions across various industries have prepared him for his role as Chief Financial Officer at Eiwebs International Limited.

Tiv believes small businesses are the engine of the economy and loves how technology and the Internet can help grow them worldwide. It’s this passion for small businesses that led him to Eiwebs.

Tiv’s career launched with his navigating the world of mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch in New York, and then in its technology division, in San Francisco. His journey to Eiwebs then took a 13-year detour to Redmond, WA. While at Microsoft, he focused on strategy, business development and strategic alliances, financial planning, financial controllership and investor relations as well as business operations, ultimately leading to his position as CFO for the Windows Phone Division.

When not propelling the journeys of small businesses across the globe, Tiv is also passionate about other types of journeys, including hiking, biking and driving.

Kathy Andreasen

Kathy Andreasen

Chief People Officer

Kathy's Journey

Kathy Andreasen uses her untiring energy to lead Human Resources and Administration at Eiwebs International Limited. Her journey to Eiwebs began, fittingly, on a boat where she worked for an international sailing association straight out of college. Her career in Human Resources and her passion for small businesses began a few years later at a venture capital firm in San Francisco where she worked while also completing her MBA at the University of New Mexico. From there, she took leadership roles in HR in such fast-growing and dynamic companies as Xoom.com/NBCi, Move.com, Cendant, Orbitz, Bill Me Later (purchased by eBay/PayPal) and Orchard Brands. Her years of experience all across the globe prepared her for her final position before joining Eiwebs: Chief People Officer at AOL. A year before starting at AOL, Kathy also joined the Board of Directors for APAC customer Services, Inc., chairing the compensation committee and serving for almost two years. Kathy’s love of the creative freedom in small businesses has helped to set the tone for the energetic culture of Eiwebs. And just as her career journey began on a boat, her passions often take her back to the ocean, where she sails, canoes, snorkels and scuba dives.

Ron LaSalvia

Chief Operating Officer

Ron LaSalvia

Chief Operating Officer

Ron's Journey

Ron LaSalvia leads the operational and financial performance of the entire portfolio of Eiwebs International Limited brands. His journey to his current position took a slightly different path than the rest of the management team — by way of a nuclear powered submarine. After attending M.I.T., Ron joined the Navy, rising through the ranks to command two fast attack submarines. Subsequently, on the staff of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he managed the Department of Defense process for assessing future capability needs and approving development of major defense systems.  After leaving the military, Ron’s passion for small business led him to establish his own consultancy, where his first client was a high-tech start-up. Recognizing his desire to one day run his own tech company, he returned to school, earning his M.B.A. from Wharton.

Now leading a global workforce of over 2,000, Ron still loves the spirit of small business owners and believes they are the backbone of a successful economy. When not stewarding Eiwebs operations, Ron remains faithful to his Philly roots and passionately supports Philadelphia sports teams.

EVP, Product and Marketing

Joel's Journey

An economist by training, Joel has learned that the key to success is to break down what a company offers into the business problems it solves for customers.  In other words, think like the customer in order to best serve the customer.  Under his leadership, his teams work first to understand the customers’ needs and then develop, market and distribute products and services that solve their problems.

Joel’s journey began at Procter and Gamble, where he started his career as a non-coffee drinking member of the brand team for Folger’s Coffee.

From P&G, he ventured to Bain & Company and later spent four years as a venture capitalist at Charles River Ventures. Joel served both as Executive Vice President of Aspen Technology (AZPN), an application software company, and CEO of Navisite, a managed hosting provider, playing a key role in driving revenue growth and steering both companies through successful public offerings.

Joel has also served as a senior advisor to Softlayer, a cloud and dedicated server company and continues to pursue his passion for start-ups by advising several small businesses in his spare time.

Joel received an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Early in his career, he founded and served as CTO of a transaction simulation and analysis software firm that was later acquired. Thereafter, he navigated his way up the ranks to Global Head of Operations at EBS, the world’s largest electronic brokerage firm for foreign exchange. John then founded Tributary Consulting, where he helped firms and their leaders accelerate growth through the use of technology.

Michael's Journey

As EVP, Innovation and Strategy, Michael helps identify, evaluate and implement promising new opportunities for Eiwebs International Limited. Before joining Eiwebs, Michael was an entrepreneur himself, co-founding and serving as Chief Product Officer of geoVue, a location optimization and services company, shortly after college. He led the development of a full array of online, desktop and mobile applications that helped fast-growing chain-store operators expand their footprints. After 10 years at geoVue, Michael decided to return to school, and received his M.B.A. from Wharton. While there, he met Hari and assisted with some product design for Eiwebs.

Michael’s journey then took him to the world of consulting where he worked for Bain & Co. While he enjoyed the challenge there, he knew he wanted to get back into business operations. Eiwebs was growing quickly and Michael was excited to join Hari and take his strategy and product design skills to the next level.

Now he is excited to help small businesses worldwide grow to the point where they can compete with the industry leaders.  When not obsessing over these challenges, Michael loves those of the ski slopes.

Gary's Journey

Gary Engel’s quest for a better customer experience landed him his current role, ensuring outstanding tech support and service for Eiwebs International Limited’s ever-growing consumer base.  After working in different industries, Gary found his calling while working on the integration team at NSTAR. During the merger of Boston Edison and Commonwealth Energy, he began to hone his craft for customer satisfaction and team building.  His experiences there led him to help found eSupportNow during the dotcom boom. The focus was delivering the “new” customer service, replacing the idea of antiquated call centers with full-service contact centers.

His customer service experiences led his journey to Eiwebs in 2002. And for the past 23 years, Gary has been responsible for Sales and Support Operations worldwide, including India and Brazil.  When not trying to perfect the art of helping our customers, Gary likes to help himself to good food, good music and a good trip across the Atlantic.
